モラパンメンバーでセノグラファーの長峰麻貴さんと元々仕事仲間でもあるお友だちで、彼女が第43回伊藤熹朔賞新人賞を受賞した「おばけりんご」を

観に行った。

Kana Hayashi: Artist 

Musician, Painter, Kamishibaistoryteller

Bio

From the ages of 11 to 18, Kana Hayashi was an active member of amateur drama clubs. From the Joshibi High School of Art and Design, she went to Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and graduated with a major in oil painting. She then completed a master's degree at the same university. At the same time, specializing in the keyboard harmonica (melodica) as well as other small-sized musical instruments, on which she performed in local community venues. In 2006, her career as a singer was established by her performance of the opening musical piece called “Alligator Ballet” for the national broadcaster NHK’s educational TV music program Ai no te(its meaning that chanting or clapping along during a song or dance), which aired in 2006. Since that time, she has worked as the director of a project to create and present original Kamishibaipicture-story performances by ordinary citizens for members of the general public. Her work focuses on the possibilities that Kamishibaipicture-story performances can offer, and she constantly researches and improves her own storytelling skills. Her diverse background allows her to develop original storytelling performances and musical plays based on pictures, art project workshops and collaborations for the public in general while also specializing in workshops for childcare and education professionals. She is a member of the theater production unit Moratorium Pants, and formerly an adjunct lecturer at Kyoto Women's University and Kyoto Seika University.
